AVC-R wiring

I am installing my AVC-R tomarow... I was looking at the instructions, and most of the electrical connnections are the same as my VAFC... do I need to splice into the wiring harness again, or can I just splice off the VAFC wires? or will splicing them mess with the current (and the readings)?

there shouldn't be a problem with reading off the same wires. Also, the boost controller reads VSS signal, not sure if VAFC reads that.
